Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender picks up the search for an ancient power that could save Aang's people from extinction, sending him and his friends across the world before it falls into the wrong hands.
Lauren Montgomery directs from a script by Tim Hedrick and Christopher Yost, working from a story credited to series creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. It's the first release from Avatar Studios, continuing the world built by the original animated series rather than starting over.
Eric Nam takes over voicing Aang, with Steven Yeun as Zuko, and the film leans into the same hopeful, coming of age tone that made the original series endure well past its intended audience.
It's streaming now on Paramount Plus, in the US as well as the UK and Australia.
