The week of 21-27 June 2026 is dominated by one release: Supergirl, the second film in James Gunn's DC Universe, opens in cinemas on 26 June.
Craig Gillespie directs Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El in an adaptation of Tom King's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic, with David Corenswet's Superman and Jason Momoa's Lobo folded into the DCU's expanding roster. It promises a harder, Mad Max-inflected tone than 2025's Superman. It shares its release date with two smaller titles, giving the week an unusually crowded 26 June specifically.
Also opening 26 June is Jackass: Best and Last, billed as Johnny Knoxville and the original crew's final theatrical outing, distributed by Paramount. The same day brings The Invite, Olivia Wilde's comedy-drama with Seth Rogen and Penélope Cruz among a dinner-party ensemble, into limited US release ahead of a wider July 10 expansion. Notes from the Last Row, a Korean thriller limited series starring Choi Min-sik, drops all six episodes on Netflix on 26 June at once.
The week's international counterpart is Dear You, a Chinese drama-family-comedy directed by Lan Hongchun that already opened domestically in April; it expands into Australia and New Zealand on 25 June and reaches North American cinemas on 26 June. Rounding out the week, Power Ballad, the Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd musical comedy that went wide in cinemas on 5 June, becomes available to rent or buy digitally from 23 June.
